Friend Of ChristA Poem by Master K-tops
My soul is troubled
And my spirit withers, My tower has crumbled And my weakness lingers, All my resolution is gone, Of self-confidence I have none. I try hard to rise But sin pulls my feet down, The devil's disguise Threatens my golden crown, I feel worthless and forsaken, Without love, my faith is shaken. ... Slowly, He calls my name And I heed unto the Lord, He wants, my soul, to tame To be coy I can't afford, I give unto Him my whole being, With His Word I shall always win. "Stand up My dear friend," Jesus says to me sweetly, I float with no end And defy gravity, What better motivation could I need? Christ The Lord just called me His friend in deed. © 2015 Master K-topsReviews
