King Of Bones

King Of Bones

A Poem by Master K-tops

A thousand voices whisper around me
"Come unto us, you belong here"
They pester and scream, they won't let me be
For young me, it's too much to bear
They hide their souls in the name of cool
But I shall not swim in the cursed pool

Alcohol and naked bodies I fancy not
Partying and smoking I don't care for
I know with worldly things happiness can't be bought
I just prefer to be weird and sure
Call me nerdy or anti-social
Not everyone loves to worship Baal.

I don't need you for me to feel confident
I will be true to myself
I have strict principles that will not be bent
'Can't say the same for yourself
Let the cool kids keep their thrones
While I'm crowned the king of bones.

Wow. This is such an extraordinary piece. I read this poem in just the right time when I needed to be reminded of my morals and values. I really love how you mixed a modern theme with a medieval theme. I think it was genius of you. Your style of writing so simple and yet sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo deep. Keep up the gooooooooood work.
