War Against A Thousand Scorching TonguesA Poem by Master K-tops
Paint me with the colours of woe
And bathe me in the hue of your wrath Plaster your gloom on my vibrant soul And drown my wings in the blue sea But I shall keep roaring. Tell me my dreams are invalid And I live in a candy-flavoured world Remind me the sky is the limit And then place me under a glass roof But the sun shall be my foot stool. Tell me my words are stale and sterile Deafen your ears when I speak Scorn me when I show my hearty art And say my ambition is too grand But who whispers when you can roar? I am a writer of truth You will not rain on my parade! © 2014 Master K-topsAuthor's Note
