THIS GLORY WE MUST HAVE

I have a story to tell,I have a destiny to fulfil.

I say to you my merry warriors
Sharpen your blades and feed your horses
Dark or fog shall be not your superiors
Fire your arrows but count no losses
Let your foes kiss the soil and pity,starve
For this bright-glowing glory we must have

My heart,my pen and my muse,let us ride
For ye are my fearless immortal army
Behind no shield must we cower or hide
Still the wind,no matter how stormy
Arise and drown the world in its blood
Life's battlefield,let my ink flood

Let our collective power change the world
Shakespeare may roll over in his grave
Let the gleeful and weary read my words
Halcyon days the old soul might crave
Alert the cavalry and sound the bells
Hear me,for I have a story to tell

I didn't technically leave.. I was writing some new poetry for publication and the poems couldn't even appear on a site like this, but I've had little luck and have decided that if I do get published, it will probably be through a chapbook or self-published
