Dreamers

I wrote this in 8th grade, and got some good comments on it. I tweaked it a bit, so I hope you enjoy :)

DREAMERS

 

Some prefer enclosed places

Some love the great outdoors

Some want to be admired,

And in the limelight.

Some want to be shunned,

And free from the judgement of others

Some just want to have

all that they can in life,

And to be as strong as an ox,

And to see the unkown world around them

And to go to the extremes!...

While others sit alone

By themselves

And read a book

They are called dreamers;

Dreaming of the unkown

Dreaming of their lives

Dreaming up unknown creatures

Dreaming about things

that they've never dreamt up before

Dreaming up new possibilities!

I'd rather be a dreamer than a thrill seeker;

But there is a dreamer in all of us;

waiting to be brought out...

And you can get the same thrill

from riding roller coasters

as you can reading

an exciting book

I loved it! I don't care how you tweeked it, or when, it's an amazing piece for an eigth grader to even think about. This is adult poetry, and very good. Rain..
