Vagabond's NightA Poem by KanishkaThis is a free verse that talks about a vagabond's last night amidst nature. The man for whom nature was the only home passes away admiring his adobe. Read on to get a mental imagery.
Vividly abstract was the enchanted night,
A night when acoustic sheaths of breeze encapsulated him, Going into a trance, the mind sought beauty in darkness. Around him swung the trees bearing rustling leaves, Bringing him melody in the silence of the dark. Over the rocks the waves poured themselves, Never before had the stars looked so surreal. Dauntless winds brushed against his face Stirring his young but dying soul. Not a sound did he utter, as if listening to nature talk.. And.. In the midst of an enthralling frame he breathed his last. Greeting his soul as it rose, the moonlight filled the sky, His body lay there, still, asking the sand to embrace it.. That is how the silence of the body spoke to the silence of the night. © 2017 KanishkaReviews
