It hurts to breathe. But not as much as it hurts to look you in the eyes and see the hate that lies there

It hurts to breathe

It hurts to cry

Hot sticky tears run down my face

And all I can feel is pain

Unfathomable pain

All I can think of 

Is how you are leaving so soon

I am scared

I am panicking

I am dying

But I don't show it to you

You've become my anchor

And you are leaving

It hurts to breathe

It hurts to move

It hurts to live

I already know

That I will not live 

Past the day you leave

Because I have been dying inside 

And you were the only thing 

That held me down

'Stay, please.'

I want to beg

I want to scream

But instead

I will watch with a smile

As I have always done

'I'm sorry.'

I want to say

And I am

But, I don't want to hurt anymore

It hurts to breathe

And I can't tell you

How much you mean to me
