You made a promise to me on our very first night. Now I wonder why are you leaving me? I can only cry as the crumbled lies collaps on top of me.

You promised that you would watch over me

You promised that you'd always hold me

You built me up back up to only break me down

You promised you'd always love me

So why did you leave me standing in the rain

I waited all day and I waited all night

You said we were done and I told myself it couldn't be

I cried myself out letting the wind freeze me

You turned my heart to ice

Then called later saying you want to come back

I promised myself I would never love again

You said that I would let you back in

But I guess you were wrong

And finally I was right

You promised to love me

And guess what happened to me?

I ended up with a broken heart
