My spine and soul

Lots of lovers have said quite a few things about love but this lover has something else in mind......

                                                  

          

 Remember when you asked me

how deep is my love for you,

I could not express it in appropriate

words how much I love you so. I was

contented in saying,

" You are my Spine and Soul"

 

You laughed and said " why is that

Why am I not your heart or breath?

I smiled held your hand and looked

deep in your eyes. And said in a 

soft voice  Hearts can be broken, breaths

can be stolen away in a swift motion, but

souls are deep inside ones body if not there

one one can die in the same way.

 

Spines are the foundations of a human

body if damaged one can be paralyzed

for life therefore I can only think

these two adages only too be worthy

of you my love ! “My Spine and Soul ".

Sou less is right... the poem is really prose sentences set out in arbitrary lines... It needs shaping so that the lines have some rhythm that makes them cohere... rhyme is not needed but there has to be some discernible pattern to hold the words in a structure...

The idea at the centre - the permanence and strength of the spine - is very good... and the sentiment appropriate... I also loved the photo - how delicious is that!

It's not even shaped like a poem...do the formatting. Otherwise, It does make sense in a weird way.
