Iam a woman

Iam a woman

A Poem by Loner
"

A victim of her husbands beatings ( a universal truth).

"

              I am a woman

As I sit on my bed feeling numb from inside, having
Scattered thoughts in my mind. “Oh! Why you beat
Me so much”? Last night it was a belt, just now it
Was your fists and kicks, I am nothing else but pain
All over, having a black eye and bruises on my body
You say you love me madly but my oozing blood
From my lips makes me disbelieve you, I am a wife

On  paper, but a punching bag for you
Your touch hurts me, brings tears in my eyes
I wince but cannot utter a word, am I a toy?
Or a human being like you? Who eats, sleeps and
Breaths
s change its course?
Am I a failure as a wife, a human being or then
Being a woman only?

Now I want to give you pain the way you
Have hurt me and then scream back at
You “LEARN TO RESPECT ME, IAM
NOT YOUR RAG DOLL, I AM A WOMAN.”

Nice. You address one of the most sensitive subjects here. It is simple. It shows the pain effectively. Awesome!
