Loneliness

This poem is the expression of a lonely person missing his/her loved one.

“When the nights get cold and the stars shine

 

 high in the sky I miss you,  it would have different if

 

was born a loner, but how can

 

I erase the memory of you holding my hand

 

and saying “ I love you so.” 

 

Now that you are not with me, I feel

 

incomplete just like a word half written, just like a

 

chore left undone , just like ones fate half written

 

and its paper crumpled  and thrown on the floor.

 

From where should I start my life now ?

 

when my pillow gets wet with  tears you are

 

 not there too dry them  and whisper back  to me

 

 as you always did   saying “ I love you so”. 

 

My days are aimless ,

 

my life is useless now, that you are not

 

 with me I take your name and say

 

“ I am so lonely without you.”

Indeed, when we are without the consolation of our lover, we feel the emptiness of our need, the ache of those feelings that want to be caressed and relieved... We cannot get the vision of the joy of the loved one from our head, incomplete without that union that makes us whole...
