Forever More

Forever More

A Poem by Alexis Cather
"

Just a poem relating to the feelings inside me at this very moment.

"

I miss you

I miss your eyes

Your touch

Your smile

The way you used to hold me

In the light of the fire

I miss you

Your soft lips to mine

The dazzling look in your eyes

Soft, gentle hands caressing my face

Pulling me in for a quick kiss of fate

I miss you

But no matter how much I do

You will never notice

Not with her by your side at least

So I will say it again

Not for your sanity, but for mine

I miss you

And love you still

Forever more

Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. I felt that completely throughout the poem. You did a very good job of building up the story, so that it isn't until the end that the reader discovers it is love only from a distance comparable to that of planets in orbit , out of one's reach. Thank you for sharing.
