Kayla

Kayla

A Poem by Onyx Sky

Her 4 inch feet run to the kitchen

She raises on to her tip-toes

And reaches for the handle

Grabs the cream cheese

And run backs to my room

Throwing the cream cheese at my head

"Kayla! I yell: What are you doing? Go put that back!"

"No, Mami, no!"

"Kayla go bother Aunty Mami's sleepy, go to bed."

Her 4 inch feet run back to the kitchen

This time bending over

To the cabinet her height

She grabs the sugar

And runs back to my room

I hear a thud on the floor

"Kayla! Why do you have the sugar, go put that back!"

I sleepily look down

And pick up the sugar

"Kayla go put that back."

I roll my eyes

"Weirdo"

Looking into her soft brown eyes

In a deep groggy voice I say

"Are you hungry Kayla?"

"I hungee Mami."

Oh my, I love this!
You are an excellent descriptive writer...
You've got a very smooth and convincing style that is off-the-chain!

I can just see little Ms Kayla!
But the heartthrob is:
Looking into her soft brown eyes

In a deep groggy voice I say

"Are you hungry Kayla?"

"I hungee Mami."

Wonderful!
Very well done!

Respectfully,
The Duchess...

Oh sweetie this is a heart grabber. My little whirlwind did not come today so I have some unexpected time.
This was such a pleasure to read. I can't wait to read more.

Hugs,
Lesa

awww, kayla sounds so cute! this is a picture-perfect depiction of the innocence of small children. though they can be annoying at times, they don't actually mean to do anything bad. also, fantastic description of her '4-inch feet.' that's so accurate, of kayla's body and of her mind, if you know what i mean. i don't know exactly how to say it. great write; keep it up!
