KaylaA Poem by Onyx SkyHer 4 inch feet run to the kitchen She raises on to her tip-toes And reaches for the handle Grabs the cream cheese And run backs to my room Throwing the cream cheese at my head
"Kayla! I yell: What are you doing? Go put that back!" "No, Mami, no!" "Kayla go bother Aunty Mami's sleepy, go to bed."
Her 4 inch feet run back to the kitchen This time bending over To the cabinet her height She grabs the sugar And runs back to my room I hear a thud on the floor "Kayla! Why do you have the sugar, go put that back!" I sleepily look down And pick up the sugar "Kayla go put that back." I roll my eyes "Weirdo"
Looking into her soft brown eyes In a deep groggy voice I say "Are you hungry Kayla?" "I hungee Mami."
