Cupid's Whisper

Cupid whispered in my ear today

Drew me in

As I felt myself gasp in the ecstasy of his sweet words

He awakened me and let you breath life

Into me

The day I met you

 

And you breathed life into me

The way the wind blows air into the water

Creating the oceans breeze

The way the moon breaths on to the earth

Illuminating what the naked eye wouldn't see

 

I sucked it in and rejoiced in cupids melody

I needed the fresh scent in my lungs

It seeped through me, envading my nostrils

Ravished me, encircled me in it's arms

 

Cupid whispered in my ear today

Caressed me with his tantalizing imagery

Laced me in his mystery

His erotic taste forced me

To allow you to be

The siren in my ear

Unfortunately know one seems to get that the poem isn't really just a love poem but about how some people can be a victim of love. I guess no one really knows about sirens. I wish I cold reach more people on a deeper level with it, but I guess this poem will only mean something to me. :(
