Blue Light ReflectionA Poem by KanaeThis poem reflects on the affects of being on your phone at nightYou can’t see it but you can feel it, the constant alertness within - despite the dark surrounding you. The small screen bounces light, they dance within your retinas, corneas, your nerves. The electronic clock on the top right reads 2:13 am. Your phone is finally put to sleep and you close your eyes in hopes of also falling into slumber. But it still resides in you, the hands of your internal clock spin wildly in your brain. You cannot sleep, it will not come. The invisible blue light stares back at you from within. © 2020 KanaeAuthor's Note
