A Poem by Chihiro Isabelle
"

Because, sweetie, you forgot.

"
Forgot
I could never forget.
I can never forget the way you smelled,
how you felt when you held me,
how you looked when you looked me in the eye.

I could never forget I loved you.

I never did.
I remembered everything you said.
I remembered what you said.
What you said that cut a gaping hole
In my flesh
And cut out my heart
And burned it.

I could never forget.

So don't come to me
Telling me
I am the one to blame.
I did it all.
I hurt you.
That I am not the one lying on the floor
Broken.

Don't tell me you were right.
That you had the right to do
Whatever you wanted.
Because in the end
My heart didn't matter.

Don't tell me to talk.
Don't tell me I deserved that.
Because what you did wasn't right.
Because my heart does matter;
At least it should.
Because you hurt me.
Because I am broken.

Because, sweetie, you forgot.
