Oblivion and Beyond

Oblivion and Beyond

A Poem by Kamala

Wind whipping my hair
Salty tears streaming down my face
What am I doing here?

People whisper and talk
Confusion, depression, abandoned
They don’t understand why
I do these things repeatedly
I do not understand either

These thoughts resound through my head
Ripping my soul in two
I know I should not think like this
But I do

People say I’m strange and different
They just don’t understand the anger
Hurt
Sadness
That I feel inside

I cannot find that guiding light that I seek
To drive away the darkness and pain
So my soul is forever lost
In oblivion and beyond
