Final Resting place

Final Resting place

A Poem by Kamala
"

this poem is dedicated to my grandfather who passed away when in the year of 2005 of cancer. RIP Grandpa Smith. You will always be with me in my heart and dreams.

"
The stiff cold lifeless body lying there
In the white wooden box
The anguished crying of my sister resounds in the air
As we see him lying there

Quiet tears stream down my face
As I look at his final resting place
My heart is filled with sorrow
It probably won't heal by tomorrow

This giant hole in the ground
Is the last place he can be found
The last time I'll see his face
Is in his final resting place
