Reality

Reality

A Poem by KamalTrivedi

They took my liberty and kept it.

As if it were nothing...nothing at all.

How can it be this way?

Where my freedom means nothing,

and my heart is taken away from me...

...and locked up in a forbidden place.

As I sit here alone,

one by one, the pieces of the sky fall...they shatter right before my eyes...why?

I cried alone, in the rain- so that my tears, and the rain, would intertwine...

...and that sadness, those tears...would hit the ground...and never be found again.

I had that dream, with my faith-that I took my freedom and pride- and ran away...from everything. The feeling of freedom inside of my heart- and the feeling of passion throughout my body...collided...

         then I awoke...

                                and reality...

              was once again.
