Basketball

Stomp so strong,

dribble so mean.

Guard undefeated,

shot so clean.

 

They run and block

and manipulate with their feet.

They throw on their jerseys

not a chance they’ll be beat!

 

Never seen such endurance,

power, and stride.

Like the moons strength pulling

on the overhead tide

 

See I know they got game

cause they hold onto that ball.

So focused that they can’t

even pick up a call.

 

I thought it was nothing

till I watched real close.

Saw every move, every detail,

as they each swallowed their dose.

 

They knew they were good.

You could tell in their stance.

You could hear it in their voices.

and see it in their hands.

 

So trust me when I say…

 

Stomp so strong,

dribble so mean,
