BLIND

BLIND

A Poem by KamalTrivedi

I'm blind to the drama,
I'm blind to the hurt.
I'm blind to the pain,
and I'm blind to subvert.

I'm blind to corruption.
I'm blind to disarray.
I'm blind to suffering,
and blind to dismay.

I'm blind to jealousy.
I'm blind to despair.
I'm blind to depravity.
I'm blind to impair.

I'm blind to unfaithfulness.
I'm blind to disparity.
I'm blind to submission.
I'm blind to impurity.

This world is full of negativity.
How can one think straight?
Too blind to understand.
Too blind to wait.

This world, full of dishonesty.
This world, full of sin.
I'd rather stay blind,
then to try and win.

With the people so selfish,
and the people so mean.
I'd rather stay blind,
then to let them be seen.
