ASTRAY

ASTRAY

A Poem by KamalTrivedi

I lost that person,
that I once used to be.
Roaming around,
just trying to be free.

I reach out my arms,
to unite and be one.
Come back and find me,
so I can re-find the sun.

Where has she gone?
I know she'll return.
When I play with this fire,
I do nothing but burn.

Stop looking for liberty.
You were free right here.
But you just lost yourself,
to a man named fear.

Your savior is here
and will always be yours.
Come and claim your place back
and walk through these doors.

You may be astray,
but you're no stranger to be.
Please, I beg, please.
Come back to me.
