A Poem by KamalTrivedi

The view of my childhood in the rear-view mirror
was a sight I missed to see.
So short-lived and so surreal,
but he held my hand and ran with me.

No time to think, no time to breathe
the clock was racing fast.
The power of life, so beautiful,
but at times, it cannot last.

God said to me to take a breath
and learn to just let go.
To give my good karma as a gift
and reincarnation would show.

There's a world out there even we don't understand.
There's a world we lack to see.
I have gained a new respect for them,
which you will never believe.

You can fear life as much as you love it.
You can't understand the change.
But sometimes, for your emotional heart,
with his strength, you must exchange.

I can only pray and show remorse,
as my intentions were all good.
I am sorry for not being ready
and doing what I should.

I always thought that I was in control.
Well, this time I was wrong.
But with a smile, I must accept,
so that we can move along.
