Is honesty a virtue?

All around me

I can see

people pandering, deceiving and lying

to me

i know i shouldn't be able to tell

should i say something?

it wont help

 

they are good at covering

lie after lie

is anyone honest? or are they just sly?

what's the point of being honest

in a world so full of lies?

what's the point in being honest

if the ones who cheat pass you by?

 

I can only sit and wonder

why; even the ones who drilled this in our brains

seem to be in

on this sick little game

Not everyone's cheats and lies .. there are some good and great people in our world. Trouble is, the baddies are the ones we notice most because they hurt and offend and don't seem to care. Your words are finely put, you're obviously a very sensitive person, the combination makes for heartfelt poetry
