Life

Life

A Poem by Kaliou

I flip through your empty pages,
Eyes erratically drifting back and forth,
Desperately trying to find A Paragraph,
A Sentence,
A Word,
A Dot,
An Answer.

Before I know it,
My time is up. I'm running late. It's time for me to go.

I flip the last page and i still find nothing.
I close your worn leather cover and put you back on the shelf.

I'll forever wonder if i missed anything while i was flipping too fast...

wow - this is a brilliant poem! I don't think i could describe life as i see it any better than you just did. You describe a sadness and desperation so well. One last desperate try, maybe there is still hope but none is found.
Definitely a favorite.
