Why do I always fall into a stupid rhyming pattern

I guess I’ll always look right because I don’t want to see what’s lefts
Keep my head down because I don’t want to know what’s up
Shuffle forward because we don’t step backwards

An empty void where my thoughts lie
Scatterbrained but time flies
We had it grand when we couldn’t stand
I miss my friends But my mind minds
Bitter wealth but how’s the health
What’s the point of living when you can’t fly
These broken wings bent hinge but the doors wide
