Left to right, walking blindA Poem by KalebX_I forgot this was a thing, it’s currently 2:32am and here I am failing to write againYou’ve got me spinning out With every twist and lie you can’t deny Spent years apart now but somehow side by side Was this all just one massive come down Left by left but suddenly right Can this all be one bad dream Bitter memories crop up in between There’s nothing left but an acrid taste And yet we drink from the same lake Fears of intimacy with years of apathy Will we ever find it, make it to home base I’m running thin and dry Just batted left to die Running left to right Can’t find a source of light I’m out here walking blind © 2020 KalebX_ |
