Forgiven Wisdom

Forgiven Wisdom

A Poem by Different Wings
"

Based off a photograph

"

Snow, across the wise planes, is neither comfort nor reason for alarm

at least as far as a canine, foreground of the gridded fence, is concerned

nor does it matter that the white layer spreads as ‘far as the eye can see’

after all, she is not looking…

Which, through some strange twist in evolution’s humour,

does not necessarily mean she cannot see,

for two feet visible and one snout earthbound are enough

to permit wonder and no further wondering…

As to how, despite the acute lack of impossible comprehension familiar to all humans,

she is able to understand with the slightest wrinkle

an imperceptibly vast exhibit of white gold

all for a stumble of grace and selflessness…

That, on a microscale coloured once long ago, effectively brings her

close for comfort, far for mystery and pointedly

for the white teeth showing in his smile

forgiven deeper that the planes, and just as wise…

Author's Note

Different Wings
This was from an exercise done in which a photograph inspired a poem. Unfortunately, the photo was in print and so I didn't include it.
