You Never RealizeA Poem by Different Wings
To be honest, I never really did
never quite saw, until a time not so long ago And I discovered that one never truly realizes until, with a wave of understanding, one does, and I felt that wave uniquely. we all do And that definition of "perfect," which you hear but can't really define, or even believe (I know I couldn't) suddenly becomes more than just... that. It becomes more. Of course there is a plethora of attempts, attempts to make it understandable. Perhaps one can. I know I can't. I can only try to convey the feeling of the feeling. And it's a feeling, as they say, like no other; a feeling that is a moment that lasts for eternity regardless of it's length a feeling that lives on even when it's absent and I never realized that- in all of the chaos and flaws of life, in all of the things we don't notice but could and do notice but have no reason to- it exists for those for whom it exists. You see, it's not something explainable with words. It's not something explainable with a face, a laugh, a fragrance It's a moment that lasts, and still lasts It will last. I have realized that I have discovered a definition for perfect, even if it can't ever define the word. I felt that wave. I realize now that that wave has never left me.
