The LetterA Poem by KaleDarkheartJustin, please don't leave me...He walks to the door, And tells you he'll be fine, He says not to worry, He says not to cry. He says i'll come back, Keep him in your prayers, He turns and he walks, Straight down those stairs.
An hour goes by, And he still isn't home, 2 hours now, Why won't he answer his phone? 3 hours have passed, And you wait for his call, The phone rings at last, But its not him at all.
A man tells you to meet him somewhere, You ask who it was, He asks if it mattered. You meet in a park, He sits on a bench, He hands you a letter, Your heart starts to clench.
It has his handwriting. Written on the front side, Your name in cursive letters, You opened it and cried. You read the letter, And cried out loud. This couldn't be happening, The man made no sound.
If you are reading this, The letter had read, Either im hurt very badly, Either that or im dead. Please do not mourn my loss, If death is the case, Celebrate my life, With a smile on my face. I cannot say much, But this I tell you, You have a family and friends, Whom all love you.
I'll remember you dearly, With a whisper and a smile on your face, But i'll miss you forever, Beacuse death is the case. You wipe the tears away, Fold up the letter, You thank the man, He's in a place thats better.
And so this story ends with the little white letter.
