Effortless.

Effortless.

A Poem by Kala Benfield

I found myself pouring out
complete nonsense
to you.

In this world where nothing
else is true,
Here is the place where I'll
live lifeless.
Forever.

& in my dorms, where my secrets hide away;
He'll find me,
& he'll be the shelter
from the rain.

In all of your brightness,
Lead me,
look for me,
love me.
Effortlessly.

Imperfections are more than
likely medicated.
Tangled aches and pains.
Beat at your battered
patterns.
Misunderstood and mistreated.
Imperfections, my imperfections,
no need for medicated nonsense.

Walls, scars, enclose your beautiful face.
I know,
he knows,
He loves you.
& he loves Effortlessly.

Burned away, and left for death.
I know,
when her hair falls,
the scent will fly,
bringing light into his eyes
for he loves her.

When she resists,
He'll pull her close,
Brushing the hair that has fallen
away from her face,
Effortlessly.
