The Qualities of a Young Helpless Child.

The Qualities of a Young Helpless Child.

A Poem by Kala Benfield
"

Just goes to show, how people can be so mean and intollerable, you just feel like your world is crashing down.

"

Invisible.

Fire.

Gasoline.

Three of my innerself's own confidence.

"None of the above."

isn't the answer.

I comply to the "walk".

You strain to see me,

as I see you as a heavenly ghost,

and I'm waiting to fly upon your wings,

to take me away from a living hell.

But,

you don't see me.

The sensation of hurt and guilt is unbearable.

You slash the blood and tears from the gaps you left me.

You watch me,

wither away.

But much faster then it would if you lit me, then walked away,

I feel more pain when you stand and watch me suffer.

Forgetting all the regrets that are bound to follow.

It stings.

I'm the substance that starts the blaze.

I'll still light you.

No matter how hard I try to stay away,

it's my fix.

My intentions,

not so different.

I have nothing left to borrow from such a bitter and dry heart.

Oh, so easy to catch fire.

I feel my life collasping before me,

you rocked me strong,

you bled 'til you were no good.

But, it only takes one, useless, bead of a spark.

And your world will fall apart before your gleaming stares.

Ive never felt this way, but watching at the park when i see little kids getting bullied. The kids that i see are invisible, there a fire, and there flame only gets bigger and brighter when you throw gasoline on them.
