My time to go

My time to go

A Poem by Kaitlyn

There is nothing left to take,
The pill bottle empty.
The pain slowly vanishing.
The lust for the love
The nightmare is coming to an end
My sight is blurry
I feel the hatred coming back
I fall onto the hard tile floor

I see the door slightly crack open.
I know I see the blackness of your shoes through my blurred vision.
I hear you whisper my name one last time.
I hear the truth finally come out.

“I’ve always loved you.
Please don’t die on me.
Please don’t die because of me.
Please know that you are the one for me…”

I try to smile, but my body has gone numb.
I try to reach out for you.
I’m trying to tell you that I loved you too
But I’m afraid it’s my time to go…
