What if the moon went black

One of the first poems i ever wrote..i"ve been looking back at all the old ones and laughing at myself.

What if the moon went black,
Would anyone care?
Would they even miss the beauty,
That once lied there?
What if the flowers all died,
Would anyone care?
Would they even miss the scent,
That once was there?
What if someone died,
Would anyone cry?
Would they even miss the smiles,
They would never pass by?
What if hope was gone?
I think you'd care,
Because hope is the love,
That is always there.
