Wrong

Wrong

A Poem by Kaitlyn Raiford

A shy but beautiful smile,

is cast upon his face.

He knows that he has done something wrong.

His eyes go dark,

deepening into the sky at night.

Flawless and sparked by stars.

I return a smile,

for I have been too caught up inside the picture of him to remain strong.

I feel my heart leap and fight to breathe.

Restrained.

Yearning.

Knowing what we want to be is not what we are.
