Picture Perfect Past

Picture Perfect Past

A Poem by Kaitlyn Raiford

Such a pretty, perfect picture-
Made home in a cracked frame.
The smiles are wearing down-
The faces there tend to change.

Once with a bright shimmer-
Their eyes used to glow.
But slowly they've turned dull-
Colder than the snow.

No one has set eyes-
No finger to touch it's glass.
The owners have moved on since then-
Left it in the past.
