Society's tongue

Society's tongue

A Poem by Kaitlyn Raiford

A heart burns with the many regrets of an undesireable teen,

as skin becomes discolored from poorly applied make up.

A mind wonders how one could be judged by the unseen-

and labeled something that no one has proof of.

But in reality anyone could be made the best or worst-

all that matters is what rolls off of society's tongue.
