One for Long

One for Long

A Poem by Kaitlyn Raiford

I know this is wrong,
but it feels too right to feel sorry.
Not like I'm doing anything,
just living my life.
There's no need for anyone to worry.
I just want to live my life like I like.

I'm tired of being held back,
sooner or later I've got to break free.
I'm tired of sitting back and nodding my head, endlessly.
It's my time to runaway and decide to disagree with you.
I know you love me, but there's just so much I've got to do.

I don't have time to waste anymore.
There's more to me than my bed and your scores.
I can't keep track with all that's been done.
I just know its my time to be the one who has fun.
I can't agree with you anymore,
I can't tell you I'm sorry, that I've never done it before.
I have to do what I want, until I break down for the one.

Let's face it, you're not, you're just one for long.
