You're Just a bit Complicated

You're Just a bit Complicated

A Poem by Kaitlyn Raiford

You're just a bit complicated,
Too complex for their simple minds.
Don't worry about the unsophisticated,
They just don't understand your kind.
No, they don't see your beauty.
No, they don't see your shine.
They only see what you are,
Not what makes you fine.
Don't worry about what they say,
And don't worry about what they do.
Because all that matters is today, and all of the people who love you.
Look past all their ignorance.
Look past all their stupidity.
I will give you assurance.
And I will give you what you need.
