Change for You

Change for You

A Poem by Kaitlyn Raiford

I once thought I loved you.
You once thought that of me.
But the longer I let you stay,
the more that I see.

You beat on me your endless abuse.
You yell at me what you think I should change.
You do nothing more to me than use,
and give my image a bad name.

You have scared off the people I love.
You have made me feel hate for that God above.
You make me feel worthless, like s**t and like useless.
I realize now you could not care less.

Why keep up this charade?
Why must you control what I do?
Why must you wash away all that I am?
Why must you make me change for you?
