You Said

I didn't choose that part.

I didn't want you to walk right out of my life.

I didn't say "hey dad i don't want to see you any more".

 

You said, "It's ok. She's gonna do what she wants".

You said, "Oh your mom made you hate me."

You said, "I want to spend more time as a family!"

Then you walked

Away and

Left us kids here

umm yeah it's not a good poem but i had to write something because i am sitting here and i started thinking about my dad so yeah :)

I think you're quite mistaken if you believe this isn't a good poem, I loved it! Simple poetry can still convey a lot of emotion and thoughts, and that's what makes this piece really great. The last three lines are formatted in a way that emphasizes the statement, and hits home. I'm sorry about your dad, truly.
