Out the

Open Window

 

Sitting on

The window

Pane

 

Gazing at

The starry

Night

 

That's high

Above

The Arizona house

 

The lights

From the

Sky

 

Dancing

across the

Front lawn

 

As if they

Were the

Stars of the show

 

Her voice

Soft and sweet

Saying the same things

 

"Oh these

Star

Here for me

 

And only me.

Oh the moon

Bright as can be.

 

Everything

Is just

Perfect.

 

Can't

You see?"

There happens to be

 

No one in

Sight

She says this

 

To herself.

Oh my

Oh my

 

She's falling

Out the

Window

 

Onto the

Ground.

Let's hope

 

She's alright.

Thank the

Heavens

 

She getting

Up

Even though

 

She is as

Slow as a

Slug

 

She brushes

Herself

Off

 

She smiles

And then

She spins

 

Going in circles

Round and

Round again

 

Dancing just

Like the Lights

From the Arizona sky

I like how on this poem it starts out slow on your stanzas then the last sentence whips it back into shape.
