Terrifying shout

Holding the spot

Where there is the most pain

 

Running away

A group of men

 

Staining the sidewalk

Is the blood from this kid

 

Listening to

That night’s news

 

Hearing the name

Of a long time friend

 

Regretting his chooses

Of ditching the kid

 

Losing hope

Of making everything right again
