I wish you could just see,

I don't wanna hold you back,

I don't wanna be that friend.

The friend you think of as a sister,

The friend you smile at as a best friend. 

I want you to see,

Just see, what could be. 

I wish you knew,

I wish you felt the same. 

Because standing here,

Next to you, as you talk bout her.

It breaks my heart inside,

It makes me give up, 

But I'll smile either way. 

Because, to you, 

I'm the girl that's one of the guys,

The best friend. 

When I really want to be..

So very much more.

As a friend or not,
