A child's prayerA Poem by Anthony HallAout a disruptive child.
Dear Lord I try to be good
But adults keep interfering, They send me to my room Then they say I'm sneering. Saying I'm making a noise It's them that make me cry, Telling me I'm a disruptive child Well Lord that's a total lie. I'm really good that's what I am I brush my teeth and make my bed, I'm even good with my school work Do you know what my motherr said. She said I was a little brat I mean what a thing to say, I only kicked her in the shins And she sent me to my room straight away. Parents they dont know anything Except to shout and scream, They tell you to do your homework And spend most of their lives in a dream. Dreaming about winning the lottery And are they too fat or thin, They take pills when they're not ill Really Lord children just cant win. Thank you Lord for listening to me I really will be good for a while, But if mother starts on me again I really will have to cramp her style. © 2013 Anthony HallAuthor's Note
