Eternal

Eternal

A Poem by KaineD
"

I wrote this poem because I was so deeply inspired by Maynard's (Tool) use of the Fibonacci number sequence in his lyrics.

"
Blank
Shapes
Drawn in
Colorless
Ink are conditioned
To endure leisure lifestyles
Circular beings spiraling in man-made madness
We are born a double helix bound by our disillusions and self made illusions
Our culture is diluted by artificial thrill
Desensitize intuition
Leaving us simply
Colorless
Drawn-in
Blank
Shapes

Author's Note

KaineD
The Fibonacci sequence goes 1-1-2-3-5-8-13-21 and keeps on going with the two previous numbers always adding up to the next number in the sequence, with the exception of the first number in the sequence. I wrote the first eight lines of this poem with the syllables following this sequence and then reversing back to one. Induced and illusions are supposed to be combined with the 8th line but i can't figure out how to do that. :/ Please tell me what you think!

I don'tknow enough about math to really appreciate this poem, but I do admire its perfection.
