Passion Plays

Passion Plays

A Poem by KaineD

Amidst the fragile world of delicate, misplaced dreams
Tangled betwixt what is, what has been, what could
And most subversive what is not
There lies the overlooked golden thread
The unappreciated stitching necessary to bind the fabric
Threads of hope, faith, and subtle but distinct dignity
Which hold together our otherwise meaningless self fabrications
Like a pulsing light that grows more incessant as it is ignored
Such remains vital when all else is rendered inconsequential
This greatest gift is not selective nor necessitates talent
But earned for the simple price of gratitude and merit
