A Poem by Kain Smith
"

A musing on my Zodiac sign, Scorpio.

"
My demeanor repulses you,
Yet my eyes draw you in.
Is it because you pity me
With your condescending hand?
Is is there something deeper at work?

Do I entice you?
I wonder this all the time.
It seems when I try to draw you in,
I only succeed in pushing away.
Curious, then, that you are not rid of me.

If you knew the thoughts
The ones that live in my mind,
You'd have every right to flee.
Perhaps you should run.

Perhaps I want you to run away from me.

The chase makes the end result much sweeter.

Beware my sting, if ye love me, or if ye hate me.
For once pricked, you will know the abyss
Which lurks within my mind.
