363 3A Poem by Kain SmithA short poem, written for my 363 days of writing challenge. Something on my mind after spending the day with my grandmother.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
An easy thing to say when one has Nothing Left To lose. Leap, and a net will appear. How simple, to know one's Money Will Catch You. A watched pot never boils. How foolish, to think you Have Time To Spare. Neither money, nor time, Will treasure you forever. So ask not that I live On your terms, not mine. Ask instead why you must Control my life's design. Your words seem wise, But they are trite. Repetitions of another. What good do these do me, Against the false love Of Grandmother?
