Untrue.

Untrue.

A Poem by Kailei

Imply as you lie,
With every cannotation.
You never say upfront
Deceit in your eyes
Your words all riddled with lies

You love me, you hate me.
Both are wonderful things.
You smile as I die,
Enjoy it while I suffer.
All I am is your little pushover.

Bring up something negative,
You rub me in the dirt.
Our lives are all figurative
Maybe I'm a piece of work.
I'm just your little quirk.

I don't leave,
I won't leave.
You don't understand.
Why stay unhappy?
Why perish again?

Maybe I'm afraid.
I'm going to lose it all.
The only base I have,
My single, final straw.
I don't want to lose it all.

Even when I suffer,
Even when I die,
You're still there waiting,
A twinkle in your eye.
All you do is lie.

I love the last verses, they're so simple but evocative.
